Pramodh Ayyappan is a seasoned DevOps engineer with 10+ years of expertise in architecting, executing, and overseeing intricate infrastructures. I accelerate engineering teams by reducing manual work and implementing automations with modern OSS and enterprise tools.
Currently Tech Lead, DevOps & Managed Services at Facets.cloud, where I run the managed-services vertical: five enterprise customers across three clouds. I set the milestones, verify delivery readiness before each release, and run the customer syncs that align on delivered value, while carrying a delivery load alongside the engineers I delegate to. Alongside that I build the platform capabilities those engagements need: zero-trust access, observability, cost guardrails, and self-service infrastructure.
Platform Engineering
Building a custom Internal Developer Platform from the ground up: self-service infrastructure, golden paths, and cloud-native tooling that empower developers to focus on code, not infra.
Cloud Infrastructure
Designing scalable infrastructure on AWS/Azure using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation. Specializing in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
CI/CD & Automation
Building robust pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD. Automating everything from deployments to cloud resource management.
Developer Experience
Creating tools, templates, and docs that improve developer productivity. Reducing friction between dev and ops with GitOps practices.

Current passion project:
tessera
, a keyboard-driven tiling window manager for macOS, written in Swift. It brings tmux/Zellij ergonomics (tabs, splits, panes, modal keys) to any GUI app by puppeting windows through the Accessibility API.
Before that:
termstack
, a config-driven TUI framework written in Rust for building powerful terminal dashboards using simple YAML. No code required. And
dotman
, a Go-based CLI for managing and version-controlling dotfiles across systems.
Not everything starts as a tool for me.
gen-chart
exists because my wife wanted a chart maker, we went looking for a free and open-source one, and nothing fit, so I built it and put it online.
I also send patches upstream, recently to Reef (macOS window manager) and flow (Claude session manager). Full list on the projects page.
When not coding: home automation, gaming, and DIY electronics.
